Meet the Tishman Center’s New Senior Fellow, Danielle Deane-Ryan

UPDATE: Danielle Deane-Ryan is on an intergovernmental personnel assignment from The New School to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from and exchange ideas with Danielle Deane-Ryan, whom we welcomed over the summer as a Senior Fellow at the Tishman Center. Ms. Deane-Ryan will provide thought leadership and guidance on strategic planning and development, as well as on federal initiatives related to environmental justice, including Justice40, Thriving Communities, and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund

Danielle Deane-Ryan (she/her) has devoted her career to her passion for advancing strategic, equitable climate crisis solutions. She most recently was the inaugural Director of Equitable Climate Solutions at the Bezos Earth Fund. Prior to the Earth Fund, Ms. Deane-Ryan was a strategy consultant to philanthropic institutions, including the Donors of Color Network and the Heising-Simons Foundation, and a senior advisor to the Libra Foundation.

She has held executive roles at The Nathan Cummings Foundation, within the Obama Administration at the Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, at Green 2.0 and at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, and the Hewlett Foundation.  Ms. Deane-Ryan is a current member of the National Academies Accelerating Decarbonization Committee. She is on the Clean Energy States Alliance board and a former board member of Resource Media. She was awarded the Williams College Bicentennial Medal in 2019 for her work on Environmental Justice.
