On March 26, the Tishman Center’s Director, Dr. Ana Baptista, was invited to join national leaders as a panelist alongside House Representatives Adelita Grijalva (AZ-07), Summer Lee (PA-12), and Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) to announce the formation of the People’s Environmental Justice (EJ) Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives. These cumulative impacts (CI) deepen inequities and increase risks to health and well-being. Our Mission: The Tishman Center is a collaborative community of practice that leverages research, policy, and design in accordance with the Jemez Principles for Democratic Organizing. We bring together research and action to tackle the root causes of climate and environmental injustice and commit to change in higher education practices within and beyond The New School.
