In light of The New School possibly declaring a Climate Emergency -- We want to make sure student opinion is well represented in The New School Climate Emergency plan of action. Student survey results will be organized, with the help of participating student groups and TNS Student Senate and officially presented to The New School as a comprehensive overview of student opinion across TNS composed into a Memorandum of Understanding.
What are we doing?
Gathering student opinion through a survey
Engage with community leaders from WE ACT & Tishman/ Americorps to learn more about successful tactics used and challenges in building community resilience in the face of climate change.
Connect with TNS student groups (BIPOC, Sunrise, Zero Hour, & Student Senate) active in tackling issues of Climate Emergency through projects and community engagement.
Build a plan students, take what you know and put it into action in small group discussions and good ol pen and paper.
