Marouh Hussein
Philanthropic Partnerships and Impact Director
Marouh Hussein is the Philanthropic Partnerships and Impact Director for The New School’s Tishman Environment and Design Center. She leads organizational monitoring, innovation, evaluation, and learning (MIEL) activities for the Center and spearheads resource mobilization to advance national climate action.
Marouh is a seasoned non-profit professional with a proven track record of building programs, systems, and teams to empower communities. Over the course of her career, she's provided strategic direction to green space organizers in NYC; successfully launched a national design fellowship for environmental justice leaders; and moved more than $5 million in funding directly to frontline solutions. Core to her success has been deep listening and authentic partnerships.
Currently, she has an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in Environmental Studies from SUNY Stony Brook. Marouh is a native New Yorker with no shortage of Uptown pride. During her time off, she can be found volunteering at a beautiful community garden in Harlem or trying to keep up with her adorable nephew.
