Kasheba Marshall

Director of Finance and Administration

 

Kasheba Marshall is the Director of Finance and Administration at the Tishman Environment and Design Center at The New School, where they lead financial strategy, administrative operations, and organizational systems in support of environmental justice and climate action. They oversee budget planning, grants management, and cross-functional alignment, ensuring resources and infrastructure effectively advance the Center’s mission.

Their experience spans higher education, philanthropy, corporate, and mission-driven organizations, with a focus on financial stewardship, operational design, and strategic partnerships. They have supported complex, multi-million-dollar grant portfolios and collaborated closely with university leadership, finance, and HR to strengthen accountability, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.

At TEDC, they contribute to organizational growth and sustainability by aligning financial and administrative systems with programmatic priorities and long-term strategy. Their approach is grounded in systems thinking, equity, and a commitment to building structures that enable teams and communities to thrive.

They hold a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University’s School of General Studies.
