Anna Yulsman
Research Analyst
Anna Yulsman is a Research Analyst at the Tishman Environment and Design Center, where she engages in collaborative action-based research initiatives with environmental justice partners across the country. Her work focuses on assisting the environmental justice movement and supporting its leadership in shaping public policy.
Her research focuses on environmental justice policy solutions, such as Cumulative Impacts and Mandatory Emissions Reductions, alongside the broader influence of environmental and climate justice movements, with particular attention to the disparities in funding and chronic underinvestment in the environmental justice movement. She also brings experience in data visualization, including GIS mapping, and in developing popular education materials that translate complex issues into accessible content.
Anna holds a Master's degree in Theories of Urban Practice from The New School and a BS in Environmental Studies from New York University. Outside of work, she can be found going on walks, reading or watching anything sci-fi, eating anything pickled, and taking dance classes.
