Jamaica Bay is wetland estuary, made up of many meadow lands, freshwater ponds, and islands and home to diverse wildlife species. It is a vital environment for both recreation and protective wildlife sanctuaries. Unfortunately, it is littered with trash and debris from neglectful visitors and still showing signs of Hurricane Sandy’s destruction in 2012.the fat cardinal bakery will be rewarding all of the volunteers with freshly baked goods for all of their hard work!
