Join us for the 6th Annual BIPOC Climate Justice Summit: Climate Democracy Frontiers, a full-day public event during NYC Climate Week at the American Museum of Natural History. This year's summit convenes frontline communities, organizers, researchers, funders, and public servants to build collective power and advance transformative climate justice.

This summit aims to catalyze global collaboration to drive progress on climate justice, particularly across the following themes:

• 🛡️ Defending Democracy - Organizing for the impossible: building people power as funding, rights, and civic space shrink under backlash.

• 🔬 Truth & Sovereignty - Defending science and information in an era of misinformation, and confronting extractive systems with community-led alternatives.

• 🌍 Community-Led Governance - Centering the leadership of Indigenous and frontline communities, and reimagining education as a tool for building power.

• ⛏️ Defending Territory - Standing with frontline communities against extraction, from Albania to Puerto Rico to Samoa.

• 🤝 Mutual Aid & Reimagined Philanthropy - Reimagining philanthropy as a tool to shift power and mutual aid as a foundational practice for climate resilience and safety.

• 🌱 Sustainability through an HBCU Lens - Grounding climate solutions in BIPOC institutional legacy and student leadership.

Through dynamic panels, an exhibition area featuring posters, environmental and climate justice organizations tables, and art showcases, this gathering aims to ignite alignment across sectors and build momentum for the shifts needed to deliver climate justice. The summit is co-convened by HBCU Green Fund, ACE Observatory and dozens of frontline organizations, in partnership with the American Museum of Natural History as host partners.
