In Wabanaki homelands in Maine, over 50,000 acres of land are being returned in a coordinated effort between five Tribal communities and many nonnative organizations.  Alongside the return of land, an innovative participatory grantmaking program is supporting the resurgence of Wabanaki land relationships.

This panel brings together members of the Wabanaki Commission on Land and Stewardship, First Light, and other partners in this work to share insights and concrete strategies from eight years of grassroots movement building and systems change.
